We are proud to announce that we are headline sponsors of the #LeakyLooChallenge from Waterwise, an educational campaign which will help to enlighten the public and professionals on the subject of leaking toilets.
Lunched on 6th January, the challenge will raise awareness about the significant environmental and financial impact of leaking toilets and empower households and commercial organisations across the UK to take action to save water, money and help to diminish negative environmental impacts. Waterwise offers information on simple tests to identify leaky loos at home or in businesses, as well as providing solutions.
Leaky loos waste up to 400 litres of water per day. They are among the most common, yet overlooked sources of household water wastage. With as much as 146,000 litres of water lost per toilet, in homes with multiple loos, this can quickly add additional costs to household bills. This also puts unnecessary additional pressure on water supply and our environment, with UK households using clean water. This challenge encourages homeowners and business to check for leaks and take action. One of the great things about fixing a leaky loo is that it gives you great water saving benefits, without having to change any of your daily habits.
Partnering with Waterwise for this campaign aligns with our dedication to responsible water usage. Through this sponsorship we hope to support widespread awareness of the leaky loo problem. Through this campaign, Waterwise and Fluidmaster aim to educate homeowners, business owners, tenants, and maintenance managers how to detect and fix leaks, ultimately contributing to water conservation efforts and reducing the amount spent on metered water bills.
Chris Mynette, Engineering and Development Manager, Fluidmaster commented, “As a company committed to sustainable water management, partnering with Waterwise is a natural fit. We’re excited to help drive positive change by equipping people with the tools and knowledge to combat water waste, one leaky loo at a time!”
